Following Arsenal's FA Cup win over Chelsea, Arsene Wenger is adamant he remains the right manager for the job.

Wenger has won the FA Cup seven times, with three coming in the past four seasons.

Wenger was asked if winning this trophy might be a perfect way of leaving the club.

"There's no perfect way," said Wenger. "I believe that I just want to do well for this club. After it's down to the board members, am I the right man to lead this club further? And for me to decide that I am the right man to lead this club further.

"And that's it. It's not about popularity, its about competence."

Wenger has drawn growing criticism this year.

"Look, I believe it because you cannot be 35 years at the top level if you do not believe you're the right man for the job."
