Arsene Wenger expects Jamie Vardy to remain with Leicester City despite Arsenal activating his trigger clause and offering him an improved contract.

In an interview on Chinese television, Wenger said: “Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester.”

Vardy, for his part, continues to focus only on England until after their Euro 2016 campaign is finished. “There is only one thing I want to do here and that is play football to the best of my ability,” he said on Saturday. “So everything has been completely blanked out except for England, England, England.”
