Barcelona wants Neymar to spend the remainder of his career with the club and are open to discussing a new contract "over the next few months."

There have been reports Neymar has interest in leaving Barcelona for Manchester United with a £140 million transfer fee being floated.

Barcelona sources have told Catalan paper Mundo Deportivo that no bid from United has been received, nor has the player's camp been in touch with Barca's board to communicate any interest.

"We do not want [Neymar] to leave," Josep Maria Bartomeu said. "He is young, we want him to retire here, at our club. He must stay here."
