Despite his desire to leave for Manchester United, Florentino Pérez, and chief executive, José Ángel Sánchez, will hold talks this weekend with Sergio Ramos insisting they want him to remain with Real Madrid.

Rafa Benítez insisted that Ramos was staying “100 percent.”

Ramos has two seasons remaining on his contract.

Ramos does not intend to back down. If this ends with a new contract, it will not be because that was his end game but because it became unavoidable.

United’s position remains that they will not let David de Gea go unless Madrid agree to negotiate on Ramos.
