Manchester City are clear favorites to secure a transfer for Raheem Sterling if Liverpool ultimately sells the talented 20-year-old winger.

Sterling's long-term future at Anfield has been the subject of intense speculation again this week with reports emerging that he was planning to inform Liverpool of his wish to leave.

Sterling is prepared to reject any contract offer from Liverpool.

Liverpool, however, are prepared to keep Sterling to test his resolve.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are also monitoring Sterling's situation. Liverpool has already rejected an inquiry from United.

Liverpool would prefer to sell Sterling abroad and there's been interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, but he wants to remain in England.
