Luis Enrique has rebounded from a rough patch as Barcelona manager around the new year and the club is now confident he will remain for the 15-16 season.

Enrique is contracted until 2016 as manager, but he's remained quiet on his future with the club.

When asked about the coach's role at Barcelona, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu told Spanish TV station Teledeporte: "We would like him to continue.

"We have no doubt that he will remain at the club, moreso because he is under contract."

Enrique had reportedly been at odds with Lionel Messi before they found their form in 2015.

Enrique has won 42 of his first 50 matches with Barcelona, which is a club record for the start of a manager's tenure.

"We are very happy with Luis Enrique," Bartomeu added. "We are continuously improving."
