Arsene Wenger remains confident Santi Cazorla will stay at Arsenal despite fresh reports linking him with Atlético Madrid.

Cazorla was also linked to a move to Atleti last summer.

Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague reported this week that Atletico had made an inquiry, while former Spain international Gaizka Mendieta told the channel's "Revista de la Liga" programme: "When Arda Turan and Koke are not there [for Atletico], Cazorla will be a great addition. He knows La Liga perfectly, so it will work for him."

Wenger told his news conference on Friday that he remained confident Cazorla would stay at Emirates Stadium.

"He extended his contract last year. I think he has still two years to go," said Wenger. "He was just 30 years old. He has two years to go.

"You know our policy at the club, so I don't think there's anything special to worry about there. The suggestion is only a suggestion. We have never been approached by anybody about him."
