The board of Arsenal continues to give Arsene Wenger their full backing though there's concern that growing unrest among supporters could impact the players.

Wenger will be allowed to decide his own future as he heads into the final year of his current contract next season.

Sources close to Wenger say he may step down if the negative atmosphere around the Emirates gets worse.

Arsenal's majority owner Stan Kroenke praised Wenger's analytical mind as recently as Friday at a sports analytics conference in Boston.

Wenger has not won the Premier League since 2004, but ended a nine-year trophy drought with back-to-back FA Cup victories in the last two seasons.
