Louis van Gaal has lost the confidence of some of the Manchester United players who would prefer Jose Mourinho as his replacement.
Van Gaal is generally well liked by his players but an influential faction of the club are unsure if he's capable of turning around their season.
Mourinho is open to taking over though he's also exploring other options as they continue to make him wait.
Mourinho was fired by Chelsea in December.
