Julian Green may be sent by Bayern Munich on loan to a Premier League club next season.

Green has had a difficult season as Hamburg as manager Mirko Slomka was fired after one match and replaced by Joe Zinnbauer, who has barely used him.

The United States international was asked to play in Germany's fourth tier for Hamburg's reserve side after reportedly rejecting a move to 1860 Munich in January, but was later criticised for his attitude after making just the one appearance.

Zinnbauer himself has been fired and replaced by sporting director Peter Knabel.

"It's looking likely that he'll come back [to Bayern] at the end of the season and we'll have to sit together to find the best solution for him," Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is quoted as saying by Goal.

"He will probably need one more year at a club wherever -- in Germany or England, I don't know -- to show his quality and I believe he has that quality."
