Manchester United Sign Odion Ighalo On Loan

Manchester United completed a last minute loan move for Odion Ighalo.

The 30-year-old joins from Shanghai Shenhua. The deal comes with no option to buy.

United were linked with Joshua King, though Bournemouth could not find a replacement in time. 

Ighalo previously played from Watford from 2014-17.

Arsenal Complete Loan Deal For Cedric Soares

Cedric Soares has moved from Southampton to Arsenal in a loan move.

"Cedric is a defender with good experience of the Premier League, and of course at international level. He is another strong addition to our defensive unit who will provide our squad with quality," said Arsenal technical director Edu.

Soares will be out for at least 3 more weeks due to an injury.

Villarreal Break Club Record For Paco Alcacer

Paco Alcacer has joined Villarreal from Borussia Dortmund for a club record fee.

Villarreal paid $25 million for Alcacer.

Alcacer scored 18 goals last season, second highest in the Bundesliga.

“It wasn’t an easy decision to make. But we’ve changed our formation to a 3-4-1-2 with Jadon Sancho and Thorgan Hazard playing up top. Then we brought in Erling Haaland as well. We always have to think about how a player can help us," said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

Hertha Berlin have broke a club transfer record in buying Krzysztof Piatek for $29.7 million.

Piatek has scored just 6 goals in his last 28 matches at Milan, and is playing behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

German businessman Lars Windhorst bought a $156 stake into Hertha last summer.

The team currently sits in 13th place in the Bundesliga.

Sheffield United have signed Sander Berge from Genk for $28.7 million.

Berge has signed a 4.5 year deal with Sheffield United.

“He’s a Norwegian international who has played 20 times for his country, he’s also played Champions League football and we’re delighted he has decided to come to Bramall Lane. Sander is someone we have known about for quite a while now. We have tracked him over a sustained period of time, he was a player we highlighted as someone who could come in and really improve us and we are thrilled he’s agreed to come here," said Chris Wilder, who tried to sign Berge last summer.
