Barcelona will pursue the signing of Erling Haaland, but sources from the club say it will be "very difficult" for them to execute.

Joan Laporta met with Haaland's agent and father on Thursday. The pair also met with representatives from Real Madrid later in the day.

Barcelona's perilous financial situation will make it difficult for them to afford Haaland.

ESPN reported in March that Dortmund would want €180m for Haaland this summer, while reports in Spain this weekend suggested Raiola and Alf-Inge Haaland would each want €20m in commission in addition to a €30m net salary for Erling Haaland.
