Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is close to joining Atletico Madrid for just under $20 million. 

Diego Simeone targeted the 27-year-old Kondogbia to replace Thomas Partey.

Atleti had 30 days to replace Partey due to La Liga rules.

Dani Parejo, Rodrigo and Ferran Torres have all left Valencia this summer.
