N'Golo Kante skipped a intrasquad match at Stamford Bridge over the weekend due to his concerns about COVID-19.

Kante has regularly attended the club's Cobham training base but only to follow an individual programme rather than joining in group sessions.

Kante lost a brother to a heart attack shortly before the 2018 World Cup and suffered a health scare of his own two years ago when collapsing during training.

Kante is concerned about the risk of infection to other family members. Chelsea remain wholly supportive of Kante's stance and have not put him under any pressure whatsoever to return to group training.
