La Liga is set to play their next two matchdays behind closed doors due to coronavirus fears.

“According to information from the High Council of Sports (CSD), La Liga matches will be played behind closed doors, starting today (March 10) and for at least the next two weeks. La Liga will continue to be in permanent contact with the Ministry of Health and the CSD to follow its recommendations and/or decisions, prioritising the health of fans, players, club employees, journalists etc, due to the Covid-19 health crisis," released the league in a statement.

The French Football Association also announced that they are suspending play until mid-April.

The coronavirus is also affecting Champions League matches, with Barcelona's clash against Napoli to be played behind closed doors.

PSG's match against Dortmund, and Valencia's tie against Atalanta are also to be played without supporters.
