Chelsea paid out more than £26 million ($34 million) over the dismissal of Antonio Conte as manager. Chelsea received an increase in funding of £247 million from Roman Abramovich during the last financial year.

The $34 million figure represents compensation and legal costs to Conte and his backroom staff. Chelsea fired Conte and replaced him with Maurizio Sarri in the summer of 2018. Conte spent two seasons at Chelsea, winning the Premier League in his first season and then finishing fifth in Year 2.

Chelsea have now paid more than £90 million ($118 million) in compensation to sacked managers since Abramovich took ownership of the club in 2003.
