Cesc Fàbregas confirmed that he spoke with Arsène Wenger about a move back to Arsenal since the club held his buy-back option from Barcelona.

Wenger expressed to Fàbregas that they were "covered" in his position already with Mesut Özil. Fàbregas played for Arsenal from 2003 until 2011.

Fàbregas was sold to Chelsea last week instead.
