Max Allegri revealed that he rejected an offer to become manager of Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane abruptly stepped down as manager following the Champions League Final.

"I said no to Real Madrid," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. "I did it on the phone to [Madrid president] Florentino Perez because I had given my word to [Juventus] president [Andrea] Agnelli.

"I thanked Florentino for the offer but said I couldn't accept it out of the respect I owed to Juventus."

Allegri also revealed he had another high profile offer, which is believed to have been from Chelsea.

"Let's just say that I had made up my mind and already given my word to Juventus," Allegri said when asked whether he had received other offers. "I simply informed this to all of those who came looking for me.
