Raheem Sterling has opened up extension talks with Manchester City.
A new deal, however, is unlikely to be agreed upon until after the World Cup.
Sterling joined City from Liverpool in 2015 for £44 million.
Sterling earns about £170,000 a week on a deal that has two years remaining and is expected to earn at least £220,000 per week.
Pep Guardiola said: “The club, the chairman [Khaldoon al-Mubarak] and myself want him to stay a long time, renew his contract but we are going on holiday in a few days.”
