Jose Mourinho is targeting Justin Kluivert of Ajax for a summer transfer.

Kluivert prefers a move to Manchester United.

Kluivert had been discussing an extension with Ajax in which he would become their highest paid player to €1.5 million per year.

Ajax’s policy is to pay no player more than €1 million, so Kluivert demanded a significant signing-on fee.

Kluivert scored 10 goals in 30 league games this season and believes he deserves fresh terms to reflect his growing status.

Mourinho’s interest in Kluivert casts further doubt over the future of Anthony Martial.
