Manchester United face some levels of difficulty in their attempt to sign Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann decided to remain with Atletico Madrid last summer after a significant pursuit from United.

Griezmann would ideally prefer to remain in Spain. Griezmann and his wife, Erika Choperena, have reservations about leaving Madrid for Manchester.

Barcelona are monitoring Griezmann's situation despite buying Philippe Coutinho last week.

United are expected to sign up to four new players ahead of next season including one manager Jose Mourinho says will "cost a lot."

Griezmann's buy-out clause of €100 million makes the forward an attractive prospect in a market where Neymar cost Paris Saint-Germain €222m and Coutinho is priced at €160m.
