Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke is confident that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will remain with the club next season.

Aubameyang has long been connected to a transfer to Real Madrid as well as Manchester City.

"Ever since Auba joined Dortmund, I have never had the feeling that he is planning to leave this club," Watzke told German daily, Bild. "And I think he realises that we are building a great team again here. We know what he means to us, but he also knows what we can do for him. We are not thinking about a transfer at all at this stage."

Aubameyang has scored 28 goals in 31 appearances this season.
