Jamie Vardy has been charged by the Football Association and is facing an extra match ban.

Vardy is automatically banned for Swansea City’s visit on Sunday but could also sit out the following match against Manchester United.

Referee Jon Moses sent Vardy off and also charged Leicester with failure to control their own players.

Vardy’s case will be examined by a three-person independent disciplinary commission, who will have the use of video evidence to decide whether the player should be punished further. If found guilty, the likelihood is that Vardy will not play again until Leicester host Everton in their final home game of the season on 7 May.
