UEFA has announced its top seeds for the Champions League draw next season.

Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain, Zenit Saint Petersburg and PSV Eindhoven will be top seeds.

Previously clubs were placed into pots by their club coefficient which was calculated on their past performance in European club competitions. The domestic champions of its top seven ranked nations are in pot 1.

PSV, who were crowned the Dutch champions, get in as a top seed by virtue of Barcelona and Juventus being in the UCL final and both sides have already won their domestic titles so the spot instead goes to the Dutch champions, UEFA’s eighth-ranked nation.
