Manchester United is the world's most valuable soccer club at a valuation of $5.95 billion, but there are twice as many MLS clubs (18) in the top-50 than the Premier League (9).

LAFC is the most valuable MLS club at $900 million.

The MLS has an average valuation of $582 million with average revenue of $57 million giving it a 10.2 average value-to-revenue multiple.

MLS teams generate a fraction of the revenue of the big clubs and almost all of them are losing money, but they make up more than half of the teams ranked between 16 and 50 by value.

The lack of promotion and relegation in MLS acts as its own kind of scarcity.
