FIFA has informed the United States Soccer Federation to have an organizing committee ready for the 2022 World Cup.

The World Cup was awarded to Qatar, but they have had severe issues with working conditions during the building of their stadiums. There have also been reports of bribes in order for Qatar to be awarded the World Cup by FIFA.

FIFA will make a decision on whether to relocate the World Cup to the United States in September or October.

The United States hosted the World Cup in 1994 and already have the infrastructure in place to host matches in existing stadiums that were built for NFL teams. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, New York, Orlando, Chicago, Dallas, Boston and Washington D.C. were the nine areas of the country to host matches, while most of those areas have new facilities that have been built over the past 20 years.

Update: Sam Borden of the New York Times spoke with Sunil Gulati, who flatly denied the report.

"They haven't asked us and I cannot imagine it happening anytime soon," said Gulati.
