Manchester United had a nearly 40 percent jump in revenues for the first quarter of the financial year at £123.6 million.

United remain on course to become the first English club with an annual income of over £500 million this year.

United's commercial and matchday revenue both rose 64 percent, aided by a return to the Champions League.

Commercial income went up 25.4 percent to £71.2 million after the record, 10-year, £750 million kit deal with Adidas.
