Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes First Man To Play In Five Euros

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first man to play in five European Championship tournaments. 

Ronaldo debuted in 2004 with Portugal and has played in 22 matches. 

"This is my fifth European Championship but for me it feels as though it's my first," Ronaldo said ahead of Tuesday's game.

Portugal won the tournament in 2016, though he exited the final match against France early with an injury.

Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for COVID-19. 

Ronaldo is in isolation and is not showing any symptoms. The remaining players on Portugal's squad have tested negative to date.

UEFA Could Postpone European Championship To 2021

UEFA are discussing the possibility of postponing this summer's European Championships to 2021.

European football's governing body will hold a video conference to discuss the potential move.

The Euros are currently scheduled between June 12th through July 12th.

Recent suspensions of domestic and European leagues and matches could potentially clash with the current start date of the Euros.

UEFA To Discuss Future Of 2020 Euros Next Week

UEFA will have a meeting with board members of the European Club Association to discuss their response to coronavirus.

"Discussions will include all domestic and European competitions, including UEFA EURO 2020," released the organization in a statement.

The 2020 European Championships are currently set to start on June 12th.

La Liga and Serie A recently suspended their domestic leagues, further complicating the start date for the Euros.

UEFA Monitoring Conoravirus Ahead Of Euro 2020

UEFA executives are set to meet on Monday, with Euro 2020 and coronavirus expected to be on top of their agenda. 

The European Championship is set to take place across 12 countries. 

Cases of coronavirus have been reported in Spain, the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway and Austria. Several Serie A matches were cancelled this weekend. 

UEFA have no plans to postpone or cancel the tournament as of now, though they are monitoring the situation.

Germany, France, and Portugal were drawn in the same group of the 2020 European Championship.

The tournament takes place from June 12 through July 12th.

The groups are as follows:

Group A: Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Wales

Group B: Belgium, Russia, Denmark, Finland

Group C: Ukraine, Netherlands, Austria, Play-off Winner D (Georgia, Belarus, North Macedonia or Kosovo)

Group D: England, Croatia, Czech Republic, Play-off Winner C (Norway, Serbia, Scotland or Israel)

Group E: Spain, Poland, Sweden, Play-off Winner B (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Ireland, Slovakia or Republic of Ireland)

Group F: Germany, France, Portugal, Play-off Winner A (Bulgaria, Hungary, Iceland or Romania)

Spain, Portugal May Launch Joint Bid For 2030 World Cup

Spain and Portugal are considering whether to launch a joint bid for the 2030 World Cup.

The two countries previously launched a bid for the 2018 World Cup that was ultimately awarded to Russia.

Spain had previously been rumored to launch a bid with Morocco, although the African country was not named in this current potential bid.

Joao Felix To Decide Future After Nations League

Felix has attracted interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.

Cristiano Ronaldo Out Two Weeks With Right Leg Injury

Cristiano Ronaldo will be out two weeks with a right leg injury.

"I am not worried, I know my body. It happens, it's football ... I am fine because I know I will come back in one or two weeks," Ronaldo said of the injury after Monday's 1-1 draw.

Juventus are back in Serie A action on Saturday against Empoli, and will take on Ajax on April 10 in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
