Neil Warnock After Loss To Chelsea: 'Roll On VAR'

Mar 31, 2019 1:34 PM

Neil Warnock criticized the referee following Cardiff City's 2-1 loss to Chelsea.

The goal in question came after Cesar Azpilicueta tied the match at 1 off a corner kick. A replay showed the Chelsea player clearly offsides.

"To get let down by the officials - roll on VAR. I might be too old by the time we get VAR, but that's why we need it. The offside [for Azpilicueta's goal] is not even close. We've worked three weeks for this, and we get let down by decisions," said Warnock.

Barcelona Open To Selling Philippe Coutinho

Mar 25, 2019 2:51 PM

Barcelona are open to selling Philippe Coutinho this summer if they receive a bid in the range of £90 million.

Coutinho has been in and out of Barcelona starting XI and has been booed at Camp Nou.

"Barcelona do not have a firm offer from any club at this point, but some have expressed an interest in the player," a source at the club told ESPN FC. "Key people, who are either directly or indirectly linked with various clubs have been following the situation closely."

Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with a move for Coutinho. Barcelona bought Coutinho from Liverpool for £105 million in January 2018.

"He is generally a very happy player who enjoys training, but when he goes onto the pitch, something happens and it doesn't go well," the source added. "He has more than enough quality to be a starter and we hope he regains his confidence."

Maurizio Sarri Confident He'll Remain As Chelsea Manager Next Season

Mar 6, 2019 7:21 PM

Maurizio Sarri is now confident he will remain as manager of Chelsea next season.

Sarri's job was in jeopardy but Chelsea played well in their loss to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup before winning successive matches in the Premier League. Chelsea are now only five points behind Spurs for third place with a game in hand.

“I’m confident,” he added of his own future. “I was confident in the past, and I am confident now. But I want to think only about our performances and our results, nothing else.”

Sarri has now even begun planning Chelsea's preseason schedule with the club's hierarchy.
