La Liga's TV Rights To Exceed $2.2 Billion For 2019

Nov 26, 2019 2:33 PM

La Liga will make over $2.2 billion from their TV rights for 2019.

The Premier League, in comparison, will earn over $11.5 billion from television over the same period.

La Liga president Javier Tebas said that the El Clasico is aimed towards audiences in United States and Asia.

“Of the two clásicos there are in a season, one should always be so people in Asia can watch without being asleep and the other should always be so people in the US can watch without being asleep. It is important to recognise that the followers of Spanish football are not just people who live in Spain. We must also respect the fans who are in Asia and the Americas – they are also contributing because they pay for their TV subscriptions, which in turn allows the clubs to pay big stars and helps turns La Liga into a global product.”

Antoine Griezmann Admits Lack Of Confidence In Decision Making

Nov 25, 2019 12:47 PM

Antoine Griezmann admitted that he was suffering from a lack of confidence in his decision making at Barcelona.

"I'm in the process of learning and understanding how my team-mates play as everything is new to me. I'm still trying to read the runs and off the ball movement ... At present when I get the ball I have a certain lack of confidence in when to pass or when to shoot on goal, this I'm sure is something that will change with the passing of time," said Griezmann.

Griezmann also added that his relationship with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi is taking time to build.

"I'm pretty shy and sometimes have problems talking to others. It's rare that I strike up a conversation. Luis, Leo and myself have had meals together and the relationship can only improve over time."
