Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will receive a two-transfer ban imposed by FIFA for repeated violations of the rules and regulations regarding the transfers of international youth players, according to Cadena SUR.

Barcelona were previously found to be in violation of the rule.

FIFA only permits international youth transfers when one of the following the following three situations apply: the player’s parents have moved to a country for their own non-related reasons; the moves takes place within the European Union if a player is aged between 16 and 18; or the player’s home is less than 50 kilometers from the national border being crossed.

Real Madrid have been aware of the impending transfer ban. That is why the defending European and world champions completed the early signings of Lucas Silva, Martin Odegaard and Danilo in recent months.
