Carlo Ancelotti stated that his goal with Everton was to reach the Champions League after being appointed manager.

“I’m excited to be here at one of the greatest clubs in England. The goal is there to reach the Champions League or Europa League. Winning honours has to be the dream for this club and for the supporters. I am here to try to do this," said Ancelotti.

Ancelotti previously won a Premier League and FA Cup double with Chelsea in 2010.

Ancelotti's first match in charge will be on boxing day against Burnley.

Manchester United will play Club Brugge, while Arsenal will face Olympiakos in the Europa League round of 32.

"Man United are a new challenge for my boys. For them the Europa League will be very important, but we are going to play our own game," said Brugge manager Philippe Clement.

The first leg takes place on February 20th.

Jose Mourinho has banned his players from watching footage of their 7-2 loss to Bayern Munich in Champions League.

“I forbid any image of it [the 7-2]. I watched it a couple of times: me, my staff and analysts try to go through every single aspect of that but not one single image for the boys. No. Not at all. We’re going to focus more on us than on Bayern. We’re going to try to develop our model of play, with different bodies, different phases, different players. But there is a certain way that we try to play football and try to develop our principles of play. And we’re totally focused on us," said Mourinho.

With both teams having qualified for the knockout stages of Champions League, Mourinho has left 10 Tottenham players in London.
