Gianluigi Buffon To Extend Juventus Deal Through 2021

Gianluigi Buffon will return for one more season at Juventus, extending his deal through the 2021 season.

The 42-year-old, whose contract expires this summer, has no intention to stop playing.

Buffon has only made seven appearances this season as a backup to Wojciech Szczesny.

Buffon stated earlier this season that he feels “like a point of reference in the dressing room."

The reported transfer fee is $6.7 million.

The 21-year-old has impressed under Jose Bordalas.

Barcelona maintain a 40% sell-on fee.

Atlanta United Acquire JJ Williams To Replace Josef Martinez

Atlanta United acquired JJ Williams from Birmingham Legion FC in the USL to replace Josef Martinez.

Martinez was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL.

"JJ is someone that had been on our radar over the offseason and we're pleased to add him to our roster. He is coming off a strong season with Birmingham and will provide additional competition to our attack," said technical director Carlos Bocanegra.

The 22-year-old played in 7 matches last season as a rookie with Columbus.

Victor Wanyama has signed with the Montreal Impact from Tottenham.

The 28-year-old featured in 97 matches for Spurs.

"I'm really happy to join an exciting club like the Montreal Impact," Wanyama said. "MLS continues to grow every season and I'm looking forward to bringing further awareness to this team, city and league across Africa."

Wanyama said he was excited to play under Thierry Henry.

"When I spoke to Thierry and he told me he wanted me to join him in Montreal, I didn't have to think twice. He has always been a player that I've admired, and I am really happy to get the opportunity to work with him and to play a part that can ensure that the Montreal Impact have an improved season and hopefully reach the ultimate stages of the competitions in which we compete."
