Manchester United has agreed to extend Juan Mata's contract through 2021.

Mata's contract was set to expire this summer.

Mata first joined United in 2014 and has played in 218 matches with the club.

Maurizio Sarri has officially made his way to Juventus, according to a statement released by Chelsea.

"The two clubs have reached an agreement for the early termination of Sarri's contract with Chelsea FC which had two years left to run and is ending at his request," said a Chelsea statement.

Sarri said his homesickness was a reason for his desire to return to Serie A.

Sarri is the 10th Chelsea manager to leave the club before the end of their contract since Roman Abramovich took over the team i 2003. 

50,000 Real Madrid supporters turned out at the Santiago Bernabeu to welcome Eden Hazard to the club.

Florentino Perez said that Hazard's signing reflected the stature of the club.

"Today is a very special day for Real Madrid. A marvellous player who is capable of doing amazing things is coming. The legend of Madrid must continue with the best players in the world and we've wanted to say these words for a long time: today Eden Hazard joins Real Madrid. This is where you have to be," said Perez.

Hazard said that he wants to play either on the left wing or as a #10.

He added that he wants to be the best player in the world with the club.

"I will try to be the best in the world, yes. But first, I want us to be the best team and winning titles. It's a new challenge for me and I'm prepared for it. The Ballon d'Or is at Real Madrid this year with Luka Modric. I don't know if it's easier to win it at Real Madrid, even though lots of Real Madrid players have won it. But I'm focussing on the collective aspect," added Hazard.

Real Betis have hired Rubi from Espanyol to replace Quique Setien as manager.

Espanyol finished 7th in La Liga last season.

Espanyol appointed B team manager David Gallego to replace Rubi.
