LAFC Sign Fito Zelaya From Alianza FC

Rodolfo "Fito" Zelaya has joined LAFC from Alianza FC in El Salvador.

The 30-year-old Zelaya has long been one of the most coveted players in the region.

We're pleased to secure a player of Rodolfo's quality as we continue our preparations for the 2019 season. Rodolfo is a proven goalscorer, both at the club and international levels, and he will add another dimension to our attack," said LAFC general manager John Thorrington. 

Zelaya has scored 112 goals in 227 matches over 8 seasons with Alianza.

Bayern Munich Sign 17-Year-Old Taylor Booth From RSL

Bayern Munich have signed Taylor Booth from Real Salt Lake's academy.

The 17-year-old, who will begin his career in Bayern U-19's, signed a 3.5 year deal with the German club.

"We see a lot of potential in Taylor. He is a talented young player, and we look forward to working with him to develop his talent further," said Bayern campus manager Jochen Sauer. 

Booth is the third player from MLS that Bayern has signed recently, after Alphonso Davies and Chris Richards.

Barcelona Sign Frenkie De Jong For $85M

Barcelona have signed Frenkie de Jong from Ajax for $85 million. De Jong will join the Spanish side on July 1st.

The transfer fee makes de Jong the most expensive Dutch player in history.

De Jong also signed a five-year contract with Barcelona.

Ashley Cole Signs With Derby County

Ashley Cole has signed with Derby County, reuniting him with former Chelsea teammate and current Derby manager Frank Lampard.

The 38-year-old Cole mostly recently played with L.A. Galaxy. 

Cole cited his relationship with Lampard for the move.

"For me, it was a no-brainer. Of course, I've kept in touch with Lamps [Lampard], to see how good the team has been playing and followed Derby since Lamps got here. For me, it was a no-brainer to come here and get involved in this great environment and hopefully push for promotion."

Liverpool Signs Andy Robertson To Five-Year Extension

Andy Robertson has signed a five-year deal with Liverpool.

Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull 18 months ago on a £8 million transfer.

Robertson follows Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino and Joe Gomez who have who have all signed new contracts in the last six months.

“I hope to achieve success as a team over the course of this new deal,” Robertson told liverpoolfc.com. “This club demands trophies and too long has probably passed without trophies. So I hope to help bring another couple to this club and help push in that direction because the fans demand it and the club demands it, so that’s what we aim to give.

“We came close [reaching the Europa League and League Cup finals in 2016 and Champions League final last year] but it’s about taking that next step and hopefully getting a winner’s medal around your neck. As soon as the club came to me, it was a no-brainer for me – I want to stay here, so as soon as they put an offer on the table it was signed as quickly as that.”

Celtic Sign Andrew Gutman From Indiana University

Celtic have signed Indiana University defender Andrew Gutman.

Gutman won the 2018 MAC Hermann Award. He turned down a homegrown contract with the Chicago Fire to join Brendan Rodgers' side.

Gutman scored 11 goals last season at Indiana. He joins Timothy Weah as the second American to move to Celtic in this transfer window.

Aaron Ramsey Agrees To Juventus Deal

Aaron Ramsey has signed a five-year deal worth $46 million with Juventus. The 28-year-old will join this summer on a free transfer after 10 seasons with Arsenal. 

Ramsey will make around $180,000 per week with the Italian club, making him the second highest earner at the club behind Ronaldo, but ahead of Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

Pepe Returns to Porto On Free Transfer

Pepe signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Porto, returning to the club 12 years after he first left to join Real Madrid.

The 35-year-old center back was a free agent after leaving Besiktas in December.

Pepe previously won two league titles with Porto before moving to Spain.

The Columbus Crew have hired Caleb Porter as their next manager and Tim Bezbatchenko as team president.

Once rumored for the LA Galaxy coaching job, Porter won an MLS Cup in 2015 with the Portland Timbers.

Bezbatchenko was the vice-president and general manager of Toronto FC and built the side that went to back-to-back MLS Cups in 2016 and 2017.
