Gennaro Gattuso has been hired by Napoli to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti was sacked by Napoli following Tuesday's 3-0 win over Genk.

Napoli have won just 1 out of their last 9 league matches and sit 8 points out of a Champions League position.

"Seeing Napoli in his league position is embarrassing. This team has the potential to make the top four. I have encountered a team aware of their difficult situation who want to do well. I have a good feeling," said Gattuso.
