West Ham has offered €40 million to Marseille for Michy Batshuayi but they face competition from other clubs.

Slaven Bilic has long been an admirer of Batshuayi, who has scored 16 goals this season at the age of 22.

West Ham's current offer would break their transfer record.

Marseille are understood to be keen to sell the striker they bought for just £4.8 million from Standard Liège in 2014 after chair Margarita Louis-Dreyfus had put the club up for sale last month.

Juventus also is willing to match West Ham's offer for Batshuayi, while Roma is also interested.
