Pep Guardiola has canceled his prematch news conference amid reports linking him with Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Spanish paper Cadena COPE reported that Guardiola had agreed to leave Bayern in the summer and make the move to City.

Earlier this week, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters that "no one is irreplaceable."

Guardiola's news conference prior to the Hertha game was cancelled "for private reasons" according to an ARA report, which also said he had not been present for the final prematch training session.

"According to sources in the coach's camp, Real Madrid have made an approach to those close to Guardiola to see if there was any chance of making it happen that he'd sit on the bench at the Santiago Bernabeu," the report added.

It said the approach had been rejected by the Guardiola camp.
