Manchester United has agreed to a deal with New Era to become their official 'leisure headwear partner.'

With the agreement, United becomes the first soccer team with an official deal in the space.

Nike previously owned the official rights to United's hats while their £750 million Adidas deal allows them to partner with another party for hats.

Christopher H. Koch, president and CEO of New Era, comments: "We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Manchester United on a global level. As New Era continues to expand its international reach, growing our business in world football was a natural progression. A partnership with such a globally revered club is a great opportunity for us to bring quality headwear to the football market."

New Era and United will include five core silhouettes.
