Bayern Munich has signed a 15-year deal with Adidas worth nearly $1 billion USD.

Bayern's previous Adidas deal was set to run until 2020 and was previously worth €20 million per season. The new deal is worth approximately €60 million per season and makes it the second biggest in soccer behind Manchester United's deal with Adidas worth £75 million per year.

"Adidas continues the successful decades-long partnership with FC Bayern Munich with the contract extension until 2020," confirmed company spokesman Oliver Brueggen. "The commitment underlines our new strategy. In the future, we will concentrate even more to sign deals with selected high-profile clubs and national teams as well as young ambitious players.
