Manchester United will pursue Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint-Germain, who has not enjoyed playing wide with Zlatan Ibrahimović playing in the middle.

Cavani had expected to be part of an attacking two with Ibrahimović when he came over fro Napoli for £52.7 million ($88.4 million USD).

United are not short of forwards, but there is a recognition that the team have lacked dynamism and pace in attack. Also, chief executive Ed Woodward wants to bring a superstar to the club.

United have already held preliminary talks with PSG to ascertain whether Cavani might be available. A deal could be worth as much as £60 million ($100 million USD).
